When it comes to HCM technology, vendors continue to raise the stakes by offering complete solutions.  The solutions enable employers to utilize HCM in an interconnected manner.  Nucleus Research analyst, Brent Skinner, recently published studies highlighting single cloud-based HCM solutions that are suites delivered via software-as-a-service (SaaS).  The article includes research relating to the HCM products and specifically mentions Infor’s partnership with Bails and our role in software implementations.

Additional Infor Highlights from the study include:

  • Infor offers solutions options that combine both HCM and ERP combined.  Nucleus’s findings show that companies electing to connect these two modules to “avoid costs and experience gains in productivity.”  (Nucleus Research q166 – Guidebook, August 2016).

  • Infor was identified as a “Leader in the Value Matrix” along with Ceridian, Oracle HCM Cloud, SAP Success Factors, SumTotal Systems (Skillsoft) Ultimate Software, and Workday (See HCM Value Matrix 2016 Below).

The Infor HCM suite combines natively developed functionality with purchased applications which cover the following core HR elements: employee rewards management, new hire onboarding and off-boarding, advanced pre-hire assessment, payroll, time and attendance, compensation management, absence management, employee rewards management, goal setting, learning management and financial management.   Some of these different platforms have been consolidated in the newest Infor CloudSuite HCM product along with new capabilities and integrations which also address key components of data science and data management.  One area highlighted in the study, which Bails can attest to, is the functionality surrounding the ACA Compliance which they describe as being “robust”.  (Nucleus Research q90 – WFM Technology Value Matrix May 2016).

Embedded predictive analytics capabilities, which span the entire Infor solution, were also found to be key to the success of Infor’s product lines.  This technology helps deliver information to employees when they need it across applications. According to the article, “Infor has made strides in evolving its solutions for learning technology and talent science.”  Infor’s recent partnership with OpenSesame has helped them gain strides in the healthcare arena and their cloud-based, HTML5 compatible content creation capabilities should help employers HR staff to develop more custom based learning materials.

These developments, combined with Infor’s global expansion, are helping them provide users with an obvious and attainable path to the Cloud.  Brent Skinner, Nucleus Analyst and author of the article shared, “Nucleus sees Infor making further progress in helping users make sense of their Infor-based applications’ potential to work in concert -and in bringing remaining on-premise functionality fully into the cloud.”
